So I get an email from Sony saying I need to reset my password to claim my code for ID theft protection (Which it only told me afterwards.) So I Try and reset my password but nothing about the system is working. It keeps on telling me my "new" password is invalid. So I figure I will start from the beginning and do a password recovery. I answer the secret question and get a new password sent to me. I go to change my password and it tells me I can't because my password has already been changed.

*Blinks*

Great... so by using their system to recover a lost password, I now don't have the code to access the fraud protection, so I need to contact SoE Support all because their system would not recognize my password, even though it was checked, checked and checked again to be within guidelines and after the first couple of times with it failing, I even copied it into notepad and pasted it into the window to make sure it was identical.

After an hour of fucking around with this, I'm going to have to call SoE support. Seriously Sony... if you can't even get your password/account login system back up and running correctly, then fuck... you. Its been 26 days of outage and now your new security features have about as many bugs as one of your terrible MMO's at launch.

We are done. I'm calling you up, getting my year of fraud protection as our final fair well and then you can royally go fuck yourselves.

PS: Don't count on me to pick up the NGP or your future consoles either.

I didn't have that issue :( Mine let me pick the new password right away and login, but there was nothing working online atm either so...

But that sucks balls.

Apparently Sonys site no longer gets along with Chrome or Firefox. I finally loaded up their site with Internet Exploder and now it seems to be working just fine.

:furious:

Still have to call them up to get my code.

Edit: Ok, so after getting the password change to work with Internet Exploder, I was able to follow the link and get my code just fine. All smooth and working, but I had no end of trouble with Chrome/Firefox.

I also had to switch to my wifes computer to get her all set up as Sony have it set up for one code per IP, not one code per account.
