Forum Spam

This is somewhat depressing, our forum has gotten its first bot spam today :cry:

At least I hope that is what it is and not some crazy person
who would post all that about iPads and such.

Well, regardless I hope it is taken care of soon because
I don't want to see any more of that junk on here.

This is still a really great forum and I want it to stay that way.

No worries, this is actually not the first spam bot to visit us and I'm certain it won't be the last. Occasionally if one pops up when none of us are on, it may get to run free for a bit but we take care of them as soon as we find out.

More spambots due to higher popularity sounds good but those two things have nothing to do with each other ;)
Just received an email about new entries in a forum which has been abandoned for 4 years now and yep, those new entries were all made by spambots...
