Soo yeah im in quebec city... so far we'v had a great year but.. well...
last week, which turned out to be one of my biggest week at work.. 71h total -_-
I had two installations on excavators... which usually takes anywhere between 5 to 8h to install, do all the wiring and crap
Monday..
1st ride, SHOULD have taken 2.5h and it took 6h.. because of the snowstorm.. did my installation.. then i had to go to another city...
2nd drive SHOULD have taken 4h.. took 5.. not as much snow
Tuesday...
i get to the client, he told me he forgot about me and that his excavators were underneath 70 cm of snow... hurray... which made the 2nd ride of the day before USELESS -_- and i proceeded to my ..
3rd drive 12h.. took 13, not too bad
Wednesday
Installation at my client's place.. then drive back... should have taken 9, it took 14.. snowstorm ONCE AGAIN!
And the week proceeded to its "normal" routine heh... snowstorm while driving in quebec city... = bad
Though i look on the bright side.. i just signed all the papers, i'm moving in my own place (bought) the 1st of august :D
PS : been gone because of job mostly

Does winter ever ends, where you work? :p I'm enjoying magnificent sunshine ... from behind my curtain.
So, it will by only another 4.5 months of camping between excavators under 70 cm of snow for you, eh? :D

well winter here, depending on the year is usually from end november where the snow starts to end of march begining of april to where it melts... course changes a bit...
We get -40 degree celcius between january and february... big snowstorms in the latter.
And shit weather during all the other months ahaha...
Then thers like 2 months before and after the winter where the weather is meh.. cold, rainy and crap and THEN we have summer haha
So leaves us on average 3-4 months of good weather... though our heat sucks, yes its hot but humidity is like at 60%.. so doing sports blows you get exhausted REAL fast... its MUCH worse than for instance, Las vegas.. where you get like 45-50 degree but 0 humidity...

Oh boy, I hear ya Skellt. I live in Wisconsin and some times the snow just does not want to quit, last week it snowed about 8 inches. Most years around here the snow doesn't melt until late April early May. When I finally get done with my schooling I want to move south.

Some times I envy you guys that live in nice snowy climes:(. I had snow fall at my place, and stay on the ground, for the first time in years in October (weird, being in Australia), Occasionally, we get snow higher up in the hill, about 10 mins from home but I wish that we'd get some more at home.
I have to admit, (although I probably shouldn't) at 20 yrs old I still get excited at making a snow man at home.:undecided:

haha i WISH we only would get 8 inches, know how many we got in last monday snow storm? 70cm thats 27.5 inches
And the wednesday storm? about half of that... thats a snowstorm here... i could make snow garage over my car to have it protected from further snowstorm.. tho that'd be a bad idea

Haha its fun to make snowstorms and all i agree with you, and i'm 24.. (well in a month) but when you have to get through snow to do ANYTHING, it becomes a hassle..
picture this, you wake up normally at 7 to get at your workplace around 8...
but there was a big snowstorm.. the ciry came to clean up the streets, which makes a huge wall right at the bottom of your parking.. which takes roughly 20-30 min to clean up, and thats if you dont clean up the way to get to your car..
now thats 1 day.. and thers roughly about 20 like these a year.. on a good year.. and thats just to get to work.. then you gota clean up when you get home and yadi yadi yada
