A colleague of mine declared the 3 natural enemies of developers are:

1.) daylight
2.) fresh air
3.) loud bird-noises

but I have to disagree. I believe the biggest enemies of developers are:

1.) time
2.) the need to sleep
3.) caffeine-deprivation

What do you think are the most dangerous natural enemies of developers?

In no particular order:

1) Microsoft
2) Oracle
3) Apple

Then of course there are any other suits and the users, which also tend to be completely out of touch with reality and pains in the asses.

In no particular order:
Time
Money
Windows

With an honorouable mention for:
Gamers ('cause it's never their fault when a game doesn't work "properly", it's always the game's fault).

1: Time
2: Budget
3: Themselves

Deadlines suck, having to worry about money sucks and so many developers fall into the trap of having too many great ideas and not being able to settle or streamline so the core mechanics become a mess.

#1 reviewers, who give your game a poor score
#2 gamers, who believe in reviews
#3 your publisher, who devalues your game then
