And the narrow, linear corridors, the "cinematic" gameplay feeling, the cliched enemies, the claim to be "soooo real", it all has it's element of truth.

Yea, it's a playable game. I guess all the social media boosted the number of downloads through the roof.. The video actually showcases the entire game though.

Well, that's probably not true, but still. It should show everything (from what I've read) the game offers and since it's only about parodizing contemporary FPS games, you kinda already saw it.

This was done as a promotion for Bulletstorm. I played this, and laughed for a long time. And I cannot wait for Bulletstorm. So many game devs have forgotten about making games fun. I think People Can Fly/Epic is going to deliver something great.

Never heard of Bulletstorm before, so I guess this marketing trick serves its purpose. I was waiting for a fun shooter (although Duke Nukem and Serious Sam are also planned to be released this year, that market has been kinda dry).

The game is even funnier than the video. I told my friend it was the best game ever and then made him sit down and play it. He was laughing his ass off before the intro even finished.

@yerk: I don't think it will be a competition like Saints Row vs. GTA. The games aren't similar enough. Bulletstorm isn't meant to be taken seriously. I played the demo. Its simply a ton of fun. You kill enemies using your weapons and the environment in all sorts of creative ways. You earn points for doing so. The points will be used in the full game to purchase new guns, that sort of thing. The different methods are known as killshots. My favorite killshot so far? Shooting two grenades linked by a chain, which wrap themselves around an enemy's neck. I remote detonate the grenades, which kills several enemies. Killshot = "Gang Bang."

Reading that brings back good memories of the laptop gun and slayer rockets while playing Perfect Dark with friends on the N64! Good times and a great game. I may have to take a look at Bulletstorm.

Yeah, I think that's the angle of the spoof. Bulletstorm being nothing like CoD.

Giantbomb put it an interesting way, bulletstorm is "what all games would be like today if duke nukem forever was released in 1999". Complete disregard for realism, low-brow humor, and killing guys in funny ways (you get scored on how inventive you are in bulletstorm, a core mechanic) rather than just killing them for the sake of killing them.

Yeah it's a Bulletstorm promo.

While the parody is really good, I'm not so sure about what to think about Bulletstorm. It looks incredibly childish and based on brutal fecal humor - and the other promo videos bolster that impression.

I believe it would be more fun, if they actually made "Duty Calls" into a full length game!
