I’m one of those that get physical sick (headache, nausea) when I play fps-games with a low field of view (fov).

In older games this was never a problem, but today the norm seems to be a fov < 75. I’m guessing this has something to do with that most games are ported from consoles, and that due to the distance to the screen is longer for console gamers than for pc gamers, the fov should be somewhat different.
What I don’t get is why they don’t change this when they port it to the pc. It seems like a very easy thing to do. Usually you just type in a new number in a config file and voila.

Some games are more troublesome to fix than others (Bioshock comes to mind), but I’ve never come across a game where I couldn’t find a solution ….until today.
I bought Singularity from Steam during the Christmas sale, and I haven’t found any working solution to fix this. It was cheap, so no biggie, but as it is now, I’m not able to play this game, which is sad since I was really looking forward to it.

I don’t get it. Is there a GOOD reason for not giving the pc gamers the option to change the fov?

Just give us a frikkin slider!

I normally don't have the same issue. I am usually fine with any & all FPS games.
However, I do experience some eye issues with Singularity for the XB 360.
So maybe its just the game itself. Seems kinda blurry or something..?

BTW
What other FPS games have you tried ?
Might I suggest....

Metro 2033
Borderlands
FEAR 2
Wolfenstein
Aliens vs Predator (2010)
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (if you like Westerns)
Doom 3

is it about how wide the view is?
if so i can see a good reason not giving the option to change it
because those better computer would have an advantage over those with low tier computer forced to have a smaller view.

on consoles i dunno cuz everyone has the same gear
