Diablo II Help

Wondering if anyone could maybe help a fellow grim dawn forumite with some Diablo II assistance? LOL...I know kinda strange request but I'm kinda stuck and I don't have the patience to continue grinding.

Basically I have a level 72 WW Barbarian in hell on the east ladder and am basically stuck. I have been grinding baal/diablo/mephisto/andy for a week now but still can't find any items worth a shit...and I really can't progress in hell any longer (still in act 1) as I don't do enough damage.

Here's more or less what I have:

Axe - Butcher's Pupil
Shield - The Ward
Helm - Immortal King's Will
Armor - Haemosu's Adamant
Belt - Sigon's Belt
Feet - Sigon's Sabot
Rings and Ammys - Nothing good just some pretty crappy yellows

As you can see pretty craptastic for my level and probably in need of a 2hd axe the most...but so far haven't found anything better than the 1hd axe I am using now which is sad lol. I've tried trading but I don't have anything people really want...here's what I have for trade:

Buriza-Do Kyanon
Hexfire
Griswold's Redemption
Trang-Oul's Guise

Maybe a couple other pretty ho-hum items as well...as I said pretty crappy. I also have a bunch of perfect gems and some mid runes.

Anybody on ladder east willing to trade for some good barbarian stuff? :p

I mostly played D2 single player and this is the by far the most I have done on b.net...

If you have some random runes - Mal & Pul. You could try finding a 4 socket ethereal blade in your grinding. This would make Oath for you. 50% ias and good damage would really help.

Either that or try to trade for a headstriker and up that to elite. Besides, you could certainly trade that buriza for a headstriker. Either that or make a zon that can use buriza :P

Sorry Rev, if you were to, say, play some mods on D2maniacs I could hook you up but I'm nothing on standard b.net realms.

*WAIT* I thought you had the spirit ward, not the ward. As well, are you axe mastery? You could also try putting 1 pt into sword mastery...

Yeah I'm axe mastery. I have tried trading but I'm finding it pretty difficult. Maybe just my experience though only really tried 3-4 times. Though each time most people left "lol @ u nub" after I showed them what I had haha.

I almost got someone to trade me for Arreat's Face but they eventually said no...so close :D

I think I will just have to stick to grinding for the time being...I guess I am just getting frustrated with my bad luck.

Is that one similar to the other mod (medianXL)? That one was just too crazy with the effects felt like I was at a rave or something lol.

Eastern Sun is more of a Diablo 2 LOD+ mod, a lot has remained unchanged. Mostly new items, item bags (for reducing inventory), larger inventory and changed skills to suit themes. You can get ridiculously overpowered in that mod, but it's fun.

The D2LOD+ mods I play are Sanctus and ES (eastern sun). But Sanctus is down at the moment for some reason.

Median XL is good, but it's overboard, really. I think you'd have fun at either Sanctus and / or ES.

I keep on plugging mods, well because, I'm bored of D2 Vanilla.

To be honest I never played D2 this much until now. Played a few characters through and I got to hell once with a necro in SP but this is the first time I really played the ladder in a serious manner.

an act 2 Nightmare Offensive might merc ?

I didn't really look at your items, anything with Crushing Blow ?

those are 2 great way to increase damage

Yeah using Act 2 NM offensive merc.

And my weapon has:

35% Deadly Strike
25% Chance of Open Wounds

Not crushing blow, but ok. The base damage is too low for Hell difficulty which is the major issue.

I really need an awesome 2hd axe!

JamesL is right, good crushing blow is needed.
