There's a little 2 man operation called Dwarf Fort from Bay12Games that's a very detailed (and sometimes overly complex) but can be a lotta fun. Just stay away from the general discussion forums unless you're a diehard leftist... Dissenting thought is not appreciated by the guys that hang out there, and that's really being polite.

Dwarf Fortress is a Awesome game and my second most favorite Ascii game - I'd have to put Nethack as my favorite though :D
