Subvein - a multiplayer top-down shooter

Version 0.6 of subvein has just been released!
You get to run around fragging dudes with guns, cars and special abilities, which earns xp to level up your character's abilities.
There's a few game modes, and a decent number of maps.
It's been good fun playin online and on my LAN.

The game is free and looks pretty polished.

This looks like GTA1-2 with updated graphics. Very interesting - it looks pretty fun. Is it always going to be free, or just during beta?

As far as I know it will always be free, but in the future you can buy aditional skill tokens to undo skill upgrades(you slowly earn skill tokens for free anyway).
